Cindy is a clinical psychologist whose treatment areas focus predominantly on chronic pain and injury management. She has interest in the interaction between personality with mental, and physical health conditions, and on understanding factors that contribute to optimal patient outcomes post diagnosis, injury, or surgery. Cindy has extensive experience in assessing and treating individuals with occupational injury and work disability, and she has published research into the psychosocial aspects of return to work processes for compensable injury. Prior to moving into independent practice in Darwin in 2005 Cindy’s career was primarily in occupational rehabilitation and injury management - providing assessment and delivering group and individual therapy. Subsequently, she undertook her doctoral research into the psychological aspects of workplace injury and divided her time between private practice and academia.
